About Jeff Bogart

JeffBogartAbout.gifJeff Bogart, a life long Ohio resident, graduated from Ohio University in 1978.  He lives in Cleveland Heights with his wife, Antje, and their dogs Cookie and Carlos Santana.

Jeff recently celebrated his 20th year in the Financial Services industry. He began his career by helping the employees of public and not-for-profit organizations plan and save for retirement.  As the years went on, Jeff’s clients’ wealth increased and their issues became more complex.  He decided that a new business model was needed to address their needs.

Jeff concluded, after much research, that the planning and advice model would best serve his clients. The best of the programs was Bill Bachrach’s Values Based Financial Planning.™   Jeff became a Registered Investment Advisor in October 2000 and created with Dave Cunix, Bogart Cunix & Associates. The firm has dedicated itself  to the fulfillment of their clients’ long term goals.

Jeff Bogart is actively involved in his community and volunteers with both Civic and not-for-profit organizations. He has  participated in the Therapy Dog program at University Hospitals. As soon as his 15 month old Belgian Sheepdog, Carlos Santana, “grows up a little bit!”, Jeff will begin training his second dog for this important program.  He is also taken a leadership role with the Beachwood Chamber of Commerce.  Jeff has served as the Chairman of the Networking and Annual Dinner committees.   Jeff Bogart is currently on the Board of Directors of the Hebrew Free Loan Association.  This organization has for over 100 years, offered its services to all persons regardless of race or religion.  Money is loaned, interest free, to responsible individuals who do not qualify for conventional loans.

What being an Investment Advisor means to Jeff

We need to know where we are and where we want to go.  We need Goals.  We need Dreams.  And once we have those Goals, we need to have a way to achieve them.  Real financial planning does that.  By taking the time to help people articulate their real goals, what is truly important to them, I have the unique opportunity to make a positive impact on their lives.

As a Registered Investment Advisor, I have a fiduciary duty to do what is in my client’s best interest.  It is a higher level of accountability.  By putting the client’s needs first, we all succeed.

In the past seven years I have designed plans that have helped protect the long-term needs of disabled children, provide a secure future for clients’ retirement years, and allowed numerous families to know that future education costs will be met.

As a Financial Planner, I measure my success by the number of goals I help my clients meet.
